The Hauni KDF-2 is the high-speed filter rod manufacturing machine — producing filter rods at up to 400 meters per minute to supply high-speed cigarette manufacturing lines including the Protos 70 at 7,000 CPM and the Protos 80 ER at 8,000 CPM. Running 33 percent faster than the KDF-1, it pairs with the integrated HCF80 tray filler for continuous filter rod supply to the downstream cigarette production line without manual handling interruption.
In high-speed tobacco factory operations, filter rod supply is a critical upstream dependency — if the filter making machine cannot match the cigarette manufacturing machine’s consumption rate, the entire cigarette production line slows. The KDF-2 at 400 MPM ensures filter rod supply is never the production bottleneck on Protos 70 and Protos 80 ER cigarette manufacturing lines.
