Two Jobs at Opposite Ends of the Line
A tobacco feeder sits upstream, supplying blended tobacco into the maker. A cigarette reclaimer sits downstream of the reject stream, recovering usable tobacco from rod that didn't meet spec. One puts material into production; the other pulls value back out of what would otherwise be scrapped.
Feeding Mark 8 and Mark 9 Makers
The Tobacco Feeder supplies a continuous, evenly layered stream of tobacco directly into the manufacturing line, with adjustable volume settings so an operator can hold a precise, steady flow rather than feeding in batches. It's built to integrate directly with Mark 8 and Mark 9 makers, and its automation cuts down on the manual handling that used to be needed at this stage.
Recovering Tobacco from Rejected Rod
The Cigarette Reclaimer separates reusable tobacco from cigarette-manufacturing waste at 120 kg per hour, running at 99.8% efficiency with a 90% recovery rate. For a factory producing any meaningful reject volume, that recovered tobacco is real material cost that would otherwise be written off, and the unit is straightforward to install on an existing line rather than requiring a dedicated setup.
What to Check Before Buying Feeder or Reclaimer Equipment
Which end of the line you need. A feeder supplies a maker. A reclaimer recovers from waste. They don't substitute for each other, and a factory usually budgets for whichever one it's missing.
Maker compatibility, for feeders. Confirm the feeder is set up to integrate with your specific maker line before buying, not just that it feeds tobacco in general.
Recovery rate, for reclaimers. Efficiency and recovery rate figures tell you how much of your rejected rod actually comes back into production versus how much is genuinely lost.
